RESTAURANTS:
Peklo: It means hell. This restaurant is located next to the Strahov Monastery, behind the castle. The environment is special, an underground cellar with vaulted ceilings, a little 'hell, the lights are dimmed. The typical czech cuisine is excellent. Good chicken Mephisto sauce with cherries. ... The skillful waiters grilled tenderloin before the eyes of the guests actually quite flambé ... ..
Klášterní PIVOVAR Strahov: Brewery Strahov Monastery where you can enjoy good beer and eat hearty meat dishes at a good price.
KLUB ARKITEKTU ': Restaurant housed in an old cellar was renovated by famous architects, with exposed pipes. The cuisine is typical, varied and very good. Good their typical sweet made with the dough and dumplings stuffed with jam.
Kolkovna: Remain in the Jewish Quarter. Reservations required for dinner, lunch not. The restaurant is owned by the brewery Pilsner. An unforgettable memory is the mushroom and potato soup served inside a loaf of bread .... What a delight! To say nothing of fried sausages cooked in beer. ...
DO NOT BE Fregio
-Taxi: Do not stop at the first price, always try to cheat. The biggest struggle has been to transport from airport to hotel. 480-500 crowns are more than enough to go to a hotel like ours that is outside the center and then farther away. Seeking to force the fact that the price indicated above that I can only apply an x carriage "without haste", if you do not have the patience to wait (who knows what) and want to leave at once, you shoot 700 crowns. ... But All night we had available. ... we have taken us to exhaustion!!
-Change: be careful of misleading signs outside the offices of exchange, they promise a favorable price and actually changing the money to another figure ... there's always a sign written in lowercase with the real exchange rate applying ! Unfortunately we tried on our skin ... .. however nice the song that we have dedicated to the use of change ... but we can not say here ... .!!!!
HOTEL:
We stayed at the hotel Bonn. Nice, with spacious and comfortable (apart from the 5th floor that would be a bit 'fussy + are smaller and less cured but nothing alarming). The lobby is very pretty. Breakfast varied and plentiful. To reach the center you have to take the tram No. 18.

E 'on 30/12/07, and we are ready to go: Destination Prague, where we will spend the New Year and we will stop to visit the city up to 04/01/08. We are 6 friends and I (Annalisa), my husband, Robby, Marcella, Marco, Marina and Pier.
Departure is from Bologna (x 4 of us) with late-evening arrival in Prague with Czech Airlines. We booked everything with Expedia, flight and hotel to € 425 to head .... (First they have reserved, the second 500 and third 600). ... Then move!! The plane is small, with a 60 seats 2 propellers in front and very noisy ... The journey was very quiet with no success despite the reticence of first Marci that I was cursed since the reservation was my responsibility ...
The 31/12/07 will be dedicated to visiting the castle, which as you say that is great, it is never enough! We were unable to visit the Cathedral of St. Vito because of human throng. There are still many things and museums to see how the display of weapons, armor, instruments of torture, crown jewels, etc.etc. Very characteristic is the Golden Lane. It is a narrow lane which is overlooked by houses straight out of a colorful storybook. Within these houses there are craft shops, once the homes of snipers. Do not miss the changing of the guard at the main entrance of the castle which takes place every hour even if the most beautiful is that of 12, accompanied by a brass band that plays from the windows overlooking the yard first. The main entrance is the Hradcany Square. On the gate there are 2 baroque statues of the titans fighters. For the evening of 31/12/07 we held a dinner boat on the Vltava (booked on the internet with Prague Experience at € 118 a head, with dinner included.) Length: 5 hours, from 20 to 1. The boat has sailed all the time showing us the beautiful Prague notte.La dinner was buffet, varied menu of meat, fish, vegetables. Before the stroke of New Year the boat was also close to Charles Bridge and at midnight began the fireworks that were reflected on the water and lit the beautiful buildings overlooking the Vltava River in Prague! E 'was the best way to spend New Year qui.Il first gennaio Robby and I, we got up before anyone else and we have the opportunity to visit Vysehrad, the old fortress. This is a little higher than fourth place in Prague. To see is the church of Saints Peter and Paul, very nice inside which there are many Art Nouveau frescoes. In the district there is a cemetery where great people are buried, including the Czech artist Mucha. Upon entry you will see the words: AC ZEMERELI JEST MLUVI, though dead speak again .... A little 'disturbing!
The rotunda of Saint Martin is actually the oldest building of Prague, used as a powder. All around there is a beautiful park and the view from up here in Prague is beautiful. We go down and continue our walk on the banks of the Vltava River to the Dancing House, built in 96. The name comes from the shape of this house that resembles a pair of dancers embraced. Very particular. We also passed on the island that's in the middle of the Vltava called the Venice of Prague, Carina but nothing of that. We arrive at the Charles Bridge where we have an appointment with our friends. The walk on the Bridge is the favorite activity of tourists apparently ... they're all here! The bridge is 500 Mt and along the edges are lined up one of 30 baroque statues. Do not forget to rub the bronze statue of S. John Nepomuk ... the legend that anyone who rubs it back to Prague! How to find it? Look where there is a row! We continued our tour to the astronomical clock in Old Town Square. This beautiful watch has 4 statues at the sides they represent greed, vanity, death and turkish (from invasions of the pagans). On the hour death rings the bell and turns the hourglass, the turkish shakes his head, the greedy looks at his bag with money and looks in the vanity mirror. Top open 2 windows of the 12 apostles parade before the crowd below. After you hear the crowing of a cock and then you hear the chimes.
The surrounding square is invaded (in this period) from the stalls of local handicrafts engaged prices. At about 18 we were surprised by the fireworks that you could see by the fantastic way Pariszkà (where ski are the exclusive shops) all lit up! Truly a pleasant surprise .... The next day we spent visiting the shops but we did not find anything really convenient to buy. The prices are comparable to those Italians. On 03/01/08, we visited the Jewish quarter of Josefov consists of 6 monuments that make up the Jewish Museum in Prague (Spanish Synagogue, Klaus, Maisel, Pinkas, Jewish cemetery and ceremonial hall). We ended the day and so does Our vacation with the climb to the Astronomical Clock Tower. What a view from up here guys, you can not imagine! Truly enchanting, do not miss this!
